Last Night.

Last night. A night like any other. Got home earlier than usual. Made supper. Grilled chicken breasts on the George Foreman with some Montreal Chicken Spice. Delicious. Spent some time on the computer as usual. Talked with Britt like any other night. She is really sick and that hurts me to know that there is nothing I can do about it. All that aside after a while I had the urge to skate.

And skate I did. I headed downstairs to the basement. Started the sesh with just simple flat stuff. Back and forth. Ollie, BS 180, FS 180, fakie ollie, fakie BS 180, fakie FS 180, pop shuv, fakie shuv, kickflip, tre flip, variel flip, fakie big spin.... so on an so forth. Most of my tricks that I feel comfortable enough doing in the tight quarters. Then I set up my rail and tried doing some of those tricks over it. Ollie, BS 180, FS 180, kickflip and after a while a huge BS flip. Tried pop shuving it but could not stop hitting it right before I pop, more work is needed on that one. Took a break for some water. By this time I had already removed my long sleeve, ripped my right lace in more than 3 spots and completely tore the entire left leg of my PJ pants open. A good sesh, no less. Grabbed some water, and had a break, was starting to stiffen up so I headed back down, as I had some unfinished business. This time I popped a few tricks to loosen up and set the rail up to be used as it was mean't to be. Right off the bat I did 5 tricks in a row no stopping. FS 50, FS 5-0, BS board, BS board to fakie and BS noseslide. I then began to try tricks that I didn't have down pat. I ended up getting a bs noseslide to fakie, FS tailslide, FS tailslide to fakie, FS 50 180 out, 5-0 to tailslide, BS crook, and a smith grind. Then it was on to trying tricks I had never really done before. I fucking nailed FS salads. I have done them on a box before but on this flat bar felt so awesome! I'm a huge FS guy if you didn't already know. BS kinda scares me. So I decided I wanted to learn BS 50's on the bar. Took me a while to get my weight right when landing on the rail but it payed off and I rolled one out. After all the back 50 attempts and landing my smith very easily, I was determined to get a BS feeble. It didn't even take me 10 tries and I tweaked one out. Overall it was a great skate. I wish I was summer and I could take all this to the streets, but I should be happy with what I have. I'll take some pictures of the 'Dungeon' and post them later tonight. I'd really like to build some mini quarter pipes for down there.... we'll see.

Anyways. It's been a while since I had a good skate related post. Skating goes hand in hand with my happiness and I can assure you it's at an all time high these days. Speaking of skate stuff. Check out the new Don't Fear The Sweeper Tour Video Part One on the NikeSB site. Great stuff!

So until next time... Which should be later tonight when I post some pics. Later.
