Just Another Day.
So this morning I woke up feeling semi-not-so-stiff. I didn't have to work, so I knew I'd be skating, and that's exactly what I did. I headed for the park around noon. I bought a new camera bag. The same one I have now, that I paid over $70 for a year or two ago, I got for $20 at Sight-N-Sound on a clearance table. Any who, after getting to the park and skating for a few minutes I realized I wasn't as healed as I thought I was. Solution = keep skating, lol. I stayed at the park for....7 hours I think. Long day. This morning I kinda had a little run in with the ex-girlfriend. Nothing brutal by any means. I've just been doing some stuff that I shouldn't and wasn't too proud off. I apologized and made a promise I indeed on keeping. That's that. While at the park I kind of left my Rebel out in the open and well it was soon picked up by anyone who looked interested. As a result, I'm uploading hundred of photos on my computer as I type, that I didn't take, lol. 303 to be exact. Wonder if there are any good ones? At the park, at few things came up that I could have done tonight. Could of went to the races in Emo, could have went to the Back Alley to watch UFC 102 and a live band, or I could have choose to go over to a friends place and went in on the UFC pay-per-view there. To my surprise I choose to do none of the those. Instead I came. I checked on my bunny friends.... 2 are missing! I looked everywhere, could not find them. It's just the one little guy now! I feel so bad for it. I hope it's mother comes for it tonight. If it's still alive in the morning and alone I'm taking over taking care of it. I hope it's okay! After that all went down, I found the old film camera my mom bought for me at a garage sale and played with it for a bit. Ate some pizza pops and a little dessert and went straight for the X-Box. I discovered Lights has a gamertag and tried adding her, but to no one's surprise her friends list was full. Movie time it was. I had well over 100 movies to pick from. I chose Fighting. It came out this past Tuesday. It was.... kinda lame actually. I'm gonna upload a shitload of pictures from today on Facebook right now, then probably try and find a better movie to watch, lol. Quite the anti-social night I'm having. Do I care? Not at all, this is just what I needed. If I find any interesting pictures from today, I may post them later.... if I don't pass out, lol. Later.

Kenora Photos
Kenora.
Went for a skate trip to Kenora yesterday with some buddies. It was a solid trip. We left at 5AM from Fort and were skating the park in Kenora by 8AM. We soon found out that a skate camp from Winnipeg was coming in for the day, which mean't the park was going to be flooded with little kids. That left us a little bummed so we headed out with some local to go skate street. A while later we came back and to our surprise there were some pro skaters from the Etines team there. Those included Sean Malto, Mikey Taylor, Tyler Bleadsoe and Davis Torgenson. I was shocked and so was everyone else. It was a solid trip. Everyone got footy and that was the goal. After a long day and night of skating I got home at 2AM. I was up for 22.5 hours. Long day and def paying for it today. So sore. I did get footage like I said and some photos of course, I shall be posting stuff sooooon.

Short Update.
Had my interview at Boston Pizza today for a management position. It went quite well. Should here back from them by Friday. Worked 4-10 tonight.... so lame. Skate trip planned for Wednesday to Kenora, can't wait. Tired, so I'm gonna go watch a movie. Lata.
Life.
Today I feel good. Almost great. I have finally come to with a lot of the shit that has happened to or around me in the last few months. I realized many things. I'm not gonna get all sappy and write or every single feeling I have and why I choose to feel that way. I will say this. Things happen for a reason. People make mistakes. You learn from your mistakes. It is as it is. All those sayings that I once questioned have all come full circle. I may be 23 (in October) and living with my parents, working a shitty job, but for the first time in a while, I can say "I'm happy" and mean it. I can be completely selfish and not have to worry about others. I cannot change people, I can only choose to exist with them in or out of my life. Whatever the choice may be, choose to pick the one that helps you. Not the "right" thing to do or what someone tells you, just do what you know will benefit you. This is all pretty philosophical and what not. I'm clearly not getting specific but if anyone reads this and actually knows me, they may have a handle on what I'm talking about. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm great. If you were to ask me how I'm doing, I'd reply with "I'm great!" I have so many people in my life that truly care about me and where I'm headed I cannot thank them enough. Moving home has been a very grounding experience. I don't know where it's going to take me but I'm ready for anything. Since I've last made a serious post, things have changed. I got my Facebook back and have been steadily updating my photo albums on there. I don't really know why I used to go on it so much. I guess I wasn't all that "happy" in Winnipeg after all. Anyways... I'm still super busy. In the near future I have a job interview, lot's of stuff online to get done, as well as photoshop and editing footage. I have lots of skating planned for the week. I confirmed a Kenora trip today for this Wednesday, hopefully the weather is good. Umm.... kinda just lost my train of thought there.... No photos for a while, been filming more. Got some tricks today that I am really happy with. Park footy, but footy none the less. After everything that happened with my ACL and now my wrist I am lucky to just ride around on a board. Speaking of which i need a new one.... mine is done for. Some new skate shoes would be dandy too. I ordered some stuff off of The Berrics the other day, pretty stoked. More info to come soon on that. Well..... I that pretty much puts a wrap on this entry. Feeling good about things. I'm gonna be okay. I am okay. Until next time. Oh! True Blood was craaaaaaaazy tonight! That is all.

Today.
Today was kind of a busy day. I didn't work, day off of course. I finally heard back from Chris from M&M Meats and Skates'N'Blades the other day. He couldn't promise me full time hours so I didn't take the part time position he was offering. He did say a lot of nice things about me and my interview though. Positive feedback is always welcome here. I got a call from the Thunder Bay Health Center this morning. Apparently my appointment has been pushed back to September 1st. Great another week of waiting to hear if i have to go to Toronto for bone graphing i guess. Oh well. This morning i got up and ready to go, and headed to Wal-Mart, had to grab somethings and print off some racing photos. After that i went and applied at McDonald Motors for a service writer position that was brought to my attention. I left there and headed to Tim's for lunch, as i hadn't ate yet. A soup and sandwich combo later i was off toward downtown Fort Frances. I went to A Little Off The Top and got a well needed haircut. Looks okay, much better than it was. I no longer look like a Beatle or run the risk of having a mullet again. If you saw my grade school photos you would understand the again comment. After the snip I went and dropped off a game at a co-workers house and then off to the skate park i went. Spent pretty well the whole day there. Feels good to be skating again. Scary as i have no protection on my bunk wrist, but good to be active once more. Anyways, enough of this play by play shit. At the park I took some spur of the moment type photos and came up with a pretty nifty shot. Here it is. Enjoy.

Another Visit to T-Bay.
Another week goes by, another visit to Thunder Bay is made. Let me just say I drove 8 hours for a 5 minute CT Scan. No lie. Thank god TK and his little cousin Adam came with. We made a day of it and went and checked out the new Plaza on the waterfront. I went with the sole intentions to just take photos. So much so, I left my board in the car, camera in hard I walked over and stepped onto the park. At that very moment I put my right foot on the park's smooth cement I turned around and traded my camera for my board. Yes.... I am dumb, but I had fun. :) Good trip to T-Bay. Good skate plaza. :) No photos to post. Sorry.

Busaaaay.
Well, I've missed a day or two of posting, for that I am sorry. I do not even know where to begin. This weekend is the Emo Fair. Which means two nights of racing at the Emo Speedway. The biggest special they hold all year. Due to this special, my brother, his girlfriend and his boss are all home for it.
I've been busy all week. Making cards for racers, Photoshop templates, printing off entries for the Fair Exhibition Hall, just tons of stuff. I ended up getting the photos of the shoot I attended last weekend... I'll be posting those soon.
Anyways. So I wanted to shoot at the races this weekend. It's a good time to get pictures of a lot of cars and, for me, an opportunity to make some money on the side. I took a shit load of pictures. I'll give the final count once they are finished uploading on my computer. 4 CF cards worth. I'm gonna guess about over 10GB's worth in a few hours. I shot all the hot laps and all the heats. I was using a borrowed cam. Andrew's Canon EOS 40D (the same one I used to shoot the production photos) and a borrowed flash (Lincoln Dunn's Canon 580EX II Speedlite). It was awesome. I'll post pictures of the setup later.
I was beginning to feel some heavy rain drops and decided it was time for me to pack up my (and others) gear and head to the stands to sit and watch the last 3 races if they were gonna continue. They did. However, the last race got cut short, due to more rain. After we made it down into the pits a hurricane began. I've never gotten so wet in so little time. It was nuts. You could seriously watch the gravel in the pits wash away. I was soaking wet from running to my car.
After we made it to the car, I had to drop some people off then went to the bar to check out the crowd. It was good, so we opted to go change, which was a great idea, except I only had spare pants and a t-shirt. I dried off as best as I could but my gitch were soaking wet, lol. Not to mention having no spare socks and my shoes probably weighted an extra 10lbs each from being so soaked. We went back to the bar, chilled for a bit.
It was Maverick Judson's CD release party. Big crowd. Different than most crowds usually there. I was supposed to be taking pictures, but I was so soaking wet, I just didn't have it in me. Not to mention losing my phone in the parking lot and some how and finding it half an hour later in a puddle. Long story. I did get it working this morning though. I let it dry out in a sealed Zip-Lock bag full of rice. It still works with the exception of the small top display...no biggie.
After all that, I just didn't feel like taking photos. Sorry Mavvy. After an hour or two at the bar I headed home. Stopped at a stock car party, where my brother, his GF, a few of my friends and parents etc were. Ate some leftovers and eventually made my way home.
Upon getting home, I find my brother writting a Facebook message to my Ex. I tried to convince him not to, told him it was none of his business, but if you know my brother and if you know him drunk, there was nothing I could do. I don't know what he said, but i'm sure it wasn't too pleasant. At this point I can't care, and honestly I do not. It's in the past. She can take care of herself. I'm not that guy anymore.
Things have been going pretty good lately. I feel like a different person. Kind of like the person I used to be. Happy and living each day awaiting the next. I think over the next month there will be some changes in my life. Friends are going to be leaving town, my place of employment might change, my wrist....well might need more fixing, who knows. I look forward to change, who doesn't.
I'm thinking now, I should have maybe spaced this out more....perhaps put it in a paragraph type format.....who am I kidding, no one reads this anyways, lol. Well, more updates later I suppose, and also pictures coming sooooooon!

Thunder Bay Trip.
Today was my doctors appointment in Thunder Bay. Curtis and I left at 4:30AM and made it there by 9AM there time. I drive fast...sometimes. The doctor appointment went okay, I guess. I got my cast off, the fracture seemed to heal alright. Nothing displaced and nothing separated. There is still pain in my wrist and I have limited movement. I did get some bad news though. Along with having my cast off, I was told to do minimal lifting, etc.... Dr. Clark did show me the X-Ray this time. He pointed out a small circle in the once broken bone and said that it could be a sist. Not good. Basically, I have to go back to T-Bay on Monday and have an urgent CT Scan done to figure out what is going on. Then I go back in two weeks on the 25th. I will see the results and basically be told if I have to go to Toronto for bone graphing!!! Not looking forward to that news, if that is indeed the case. All bad news aside, I am now covered under OHIP and can finally start getting travel grants...Yay!
Other news....picked out 22 photos to enter into the Emo Fair Exhibition Hall this weekend. I'll be printing them off tomorrow and mounting them. $4 for 1st place per category.... ha ha. Ummm... Joey and his GF Ariana are heading home, to visit and race in the Fair this weekend, as we speak. Ummm.... I still have lots to do before the weekend. I have the next two days off and will be busy I'm sure.
On another note; I got the new X-Box Experience tonight and bought some Avatar items from the new Marketplace....pretty cool indeed. And yeah.... some photos to check out below. Until next time...
PS. My hand is grossssss!

Busy Week.
K....so tomorrow Curtis and I are heading to T-Bay bright and early. I have a doctor's appointment. for my wrist at 9:45AM. I have to be on the road at 4:30AM....bunk! If all goes well I'm supposed to get cast off, i hope so! After that I have to make one little detour to some heavy equipment shop for my dad. I have to bring in some sorta pump to get service work done on it. Last night after the shoot I got home around 12AM. I heated up some leftovers (BBQ'd steak and baked potatoes) and put on Big Brother and then True Blood. True Blood was amazing as always. That show is....awesome! Anyways, duty calls. I'm busy this week. No photos yet, sorry. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Wish me luck imaginary readers!

A Good Indian Shot.
Today I woke up at 8AM. Headed to Timmy's for some breakfast and then went to meet AG and the rest of the crew at the White Pine for 9AM. We shot all day long. I was doing production photos and I think i got quite a few good shots. We wrapped at 11:30. It was a 14.5 hour day. Seems long, but it wasn't that bad at all. I had fun. I'll be getting a copy of the photos I took over the next few days. I'll post a few of my favs when I get them. I have a busy week this week. I'll tell you more about it tomorrow. Here are two things I came home with tonight after the shoot. (PS. I also had a small acting role as the bounce in John's Tavern.)

Dito.
Nothing again. Busy helping my mom clean the house morning, a job interview this afternoon and working 4PM-10PM has left me photo-less. I suck. Tomorrow i'm shooting production photos on a friends short film shoot. Should be great fun. I'll most def have something to post then. I'm tired. I should go to bed, I have to get up early.
Nothing.
So I don't have any photos to post that I took today. I am sorry. I let myself down, kinda. I did nothing all morning. Then had to work 3:30PM-10PM. It was boring and sweaty. After work I came home ended up watching Race To Witch Mountain with a few friends. haha. Some day, I know. Anyways, no photos. I'll try to step my game up tomorrow. Working 4PM-10PM tomorrow again though...so we'll see. Last but not least, I'd like to wish a happy belated birthday to my friend Stephen and a happy birthday to Bee. G'night.

What a day....
Wow...what a day today was. Regret is something I don't feel very often if ever, but I feel it now. I did something today that I regret. I am sorry. I realize today that I am okay. I have the support of so many people not to mention my amazing family. I have everything a person could want. Now my focus is direction. The direction in which I want to move. Ahead. Ahead. Ahead. I can do this. In the future I will look back at today and shake my head, "tisk tisk" an old grey haired me will say. Tomorrow is a new day. I'm gonna start it with a smile.
